I’m a good speller – does that mean I’ll be a poor internet marketer?
Children is plural so there is no word= childrens. Possessive is children’s.
If we choose “childrens” in keywords, do we get views for “children’s” searches?
thank you for that all inspiring, informative English lesson…much appreciate it!
kidding of course..but if you use the google adwords tool and just type in ‘childrens’…you’ll see quite a few responses where the improper spelling is listed…such as 60K plus searches for the keywords childrens music…
Google historically treated words like children + childrens differently…
The reason they do this is that if you search for Apple va Apples – you are ‘generally’
searching for two different things: Apple (the computer company) vs Apple (fruit)
It’s similar logic (computer algorithm wise) that there is a difference between childrens and children’s
Does this make sense ?
[p.s. The best place for these questions moving forward is on the 30DC Forum]
Thank you Pete! Very informative!
Hi Pete
Johnny Wimbrey says that he considers himself a very talented individual because he can spell several words several different ways.
His definition of being illiterate is only being able to spell a word one way!!!!!!
That is the COOLEST ‘explanation’ EVER !!!
Love it.
