Good Small Business Marketing Strategies are essential ingredients for success

Small business marketing strategies should be seriously considered when looking to promote your products or services online. There are various forms of advertising online that you can do like Article marketing and Blog posting but Video marketing is by far the most powerful.

Showing a product or demonstrating a service that people can see will give you an edge over your competition and should definitely be part of your web marketing strategy. There are certain things that you should not do and one of the most important is not to try and sell too hard in your videos.

The video marketing strategy that you should consider adopting would me more of a two pronged attack and this is because you want to be targeting different types of viewer.

The first type of person you want to target is the information seeker. This is a person who is looking to maybe purchase your product but needs to know more about how it works and why it is better than other similar products on the market.

The video that you would produce for this type of person would be more of an informational one. The content of this would heavily focus on the features and benefits of your product and the end of the video should be different as well.

If you look around online and You Tube is a great place to see this, you will notice at the end of most promotional videos there is what is known as a call to action. This is where you ask the viewer to do something themselves which is normally to click on a link that is below the video.

Where a lot of people make a mistake with their small business marketing strategies is by trying to make a sale through the call to action. You will find links that go straight through to a sales page and often the viewer is not yet ready to purchase as they are only looking to gather information at this present time.

The common conception is that it takes a person will look at a product about six times from initial viewing to actually purchasing. So sending them to a sales page straight away is a big mistake and you will probably end up losing a potential customer forever.

The way to deal with these viewers is to set up what is known as a capture page so that you can get their e-mail address. At the end of the video your call to action should be a “for more information link”. This link would go to to another page full of information only with no sales links at all.

On this webpage would be your extra information plus a free gift for anybody who is willing to leave their e-mail address. The free gift must be related to the product or business service that you are promoting as you will get nowhere if you give away say a book on “how to get a credit card” if you are promoting a service on “how to manage your debt. Once you have their e-mail address and as long as you do not try and sell too hard in your follow up e-mails you will normally not get many if any unsubscribers. Build up a trust with your subscriber and and you will find a willing customer not only for your own product but any others that you may recommend in the future.

The other type of video that you should look to produce would be a sales one with again features and benefits being heavily promoted. This video will have a purchase now call to action and a link under the video straight to a sales page.

Keyword research plays a big part in any small business marketing strategies and knowing which ones to target for your videos are crucial. There are two types of keyword that you should target and these are known as “buying” and “non buying” keywords. Buying keywords normally contain a product name within them and non buying keywords are more like “how to” or other questions. Failure to put the right type of keywords with their associated videos is the quickest way to get your web marketing strategy to fail.

Content distribution networks take your money but do not deliver

I was on a forum that I frequent regularly and found this post that i felt just had to be shared.  This is probably the best information that i have read in a long time about article distribution services.  This guy certainly pulls no punches and should definitely open the eyes of anybody who does article marketing

Yeah we all have seen the content distribution networks which many also call article distribution services. These networks come pre-loaded with a junk copied spinner and with 1,000’s of sites that you can submit your work of art to. What these networks don’t tell you is the actual truth about their services.

Course if they did that then nobody would join and waste their time and money. It really amazes me how blind people really are. They think “Oh I can can submit to 1,200 article directories and blogs, I am successful” but they don’t see what they have accomplished is nothing. Oh yeah 1,200 backlinks sounds impressive – Woo Hoo!! your marketing now baby – Not!

Open your eyes and stop being so dumb, sorry but I am going to put it like it is. You are showing these morons how low your intelligence really is by giving them free money that you work hard for. The entire time they are laughing at how much of a moron you are to continue to pay them $47, $67, $127, and etc every single month when you are getting nowhere …

Let’s get the facts straight here and maybe some can open their eyes and see how dumb they really have been.

The content distribution networks or article distribution services such as UAW, SYA, CC, AM, AR, and etc. Are nothing but a false hope that plays on you and makes you think that they have some kind of magical advanced article marketing technologies that are going to make you famous and rich and powerful.

These so-called service submit your content to useless adsense filled sites, sites that are not marketed properly, sites that will be gone in 6 months to a year, and etc. Now you may be saying to yourself “yeah but a backlink is a backlink” – WRONG!

If a site goes out of business in 6 months then all those backlinks are gone.
If a site uses black*hat methods to drive up rankings then you will suffer.
If a site is not marketed properly then your backlinks mean nothing.
If a site is adsense filled then your links are devalued.

The truth is you are helping these useless adsense farms more than you are helping yourself. This is the truth, you are providing them content that otherwise they could not produce. In turn what do they do for you ? They toss ads all over your content to make money from google and cpa networks.

This is not the only issues but it is the major ones and should be enough of an issue for you to open your freaking eyes and stop being so blind. You do have a brain, use it!! Stop letting these morons think for you and tell you that you need their useless content distribution networks and article distribution services.

You have to do 3 times the work and spend 3 times the money (your time also = money) just to try and get the same results as someone that refuses to use these junk services. The entire time you are making someone else rich while you suffer trying to pay your lightbill. Wake the *&^%$# Up!!!

I get amazed every time I see post like this

“I tried SYA and results were not so good. I liked UAW for about a year until results lessened for the price; it was very time consuming and I did not like the monthly fee. I now like Article Submit Software and so far I love it, I get an average of 450 published articles per submission, its easier to use and a one-time fee (at least when I purchased it). You can get the PR of the directories, submit to only those you want out of a couple thousand, and get a report containing the urls of your articles so you can backlink to them if you want. I also use ezine, but keep those articles separate from the submission program.”

Ok wait …. You was ripped off by SYA but you still went to another scam service ( UAW ) that does the same thing just to find out it was useless. That did not stop you though because now you purchased software that does the same thing. You got 450 published articles but you got 0 or devalued backlinks from them so what did you accomplish moron ?? You are still doing the same thing and getting no results. How do I know you get no results ?

Simple you post says nothing about results which means you think in that tiny brain of yours that has been clouded that 450 published articles are results.. WRONG! that is not results and looking at your site I can see no results. Why do you love punishment so much to go from one service to another that does the same thing ??

Is anybody out there ? Does anybody listen in this day and age ? I many times wonder..
